Almost ready for 1st publication
We are almost there. Our reporters have finished writing rough drafts and done peer review editing. Now we are going through the final edits and rewrites and looking to layout our first newsletter for the 2016-2017 year.
Dr. Daniels came by with good news yesterday. We have our first field trip date, Tuesday, Dec 13th to the University of Alabama!
Dr Daniels teaches us about interviewing
Dr. Daniels came by today and talked to us about interviewing. He told us 4 important steps when we interview someone.
- Have your questions ready.
- Do research.
- Take notes (and be accurate).
- LISTEN!
We got to practice being the interviewer (reporter) and the interviewee (source).

Our first student reporter blogs have been set up! The 5th grade reporters are bravely being our new blog testers and learning how to manage their blogs so that they can then mentor our younger reporters.
